Academic Accommodation

Under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, K-12 students are guaranteed the right to a free and appropriate education in the least restrictive environment possible. This includes academic accommodations to ensure that students with disabilities are able to fully participate and receive a quality education.

Title II of the ADA and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 in turn protect students receiving education from colleges and universities funded by the federal government from discrimination in the execution of those programs. Knauf Associates represents students with disabilities excluded from education when, for example, accommodations are not provided or properly implemented to help them reach their academic goals.
